Kia ora koutou – Raise the Bar Hospo Union (RBHU) is a grassroots hospitality union based in Aotearoa. We offer free employment and income support advocacy, educational workshops, & other wrap-around tautoko services.

This meet-up is for all people passionate about improving the working conditions and lives of hospo workers throughout Aotearoa, or simply wanting to learn more about employment rights. Along with some brief formalities to establish RBHU as a registered union, we’ll hold a Q&A kƍrero as a chance to meet other RBHU members, learn about the movement so far, and tell us where you want to see RBHU campaigning in the future.

We also have a range of roles to fill, from casual volunteer spots to opportunities to be actively involved in the leadership of the movement.

Drinks are generously provided by Grand Central, and food is provided by us (RBHU) including vegan and gluten-free options. Bar and toilets are also wheelchair accessible.

Join us from 5:30pm to get to know the fantastic RBHU team. The formal meeting will begin at 6:00pm. If you aren’t in Auckland you can join us via zoom:
