This November 20th marks 326 years since the murder of Zumbi dos Palmares by pioneers under the command of the colonial capitalist power. Since then, the Brazilian black people continue to be violated in different ways by those from above, but they also resist from below and fight courageously every day.

The covid-19 pandemic and the worsening economic scenario with neoliberal policies have further harmed the black people, who suffer from precarious public health, unemployment and poverty, evictions, police brutality and all kinds of violence racist state and capital. No wonder that the black movement was at the forefront of the main manifestations of the oppressed classes during the pandemic, such as the repercussions of the assassination of George Floyd, in the USA, the assassination of Beto Freitas by Carrefour security guards, in Porto Alegre, in Jacarezinho massacre, in Rio de Janeiro.
In 2020, 3 out of 4 people murdered in the country were black, according to the Brazilian Yearbook of Public Security. Almost 80% of the people killed by the police were black. Among the victims of femicide, more than 60% were black women. Figures that show the perpetuation of racist violence started with the indigenous genocide and the trafficking of enslaved Africans, and continued with the military, militia and neoliberal government of Jair Bolsonaro, with the connivance of the ruling classes.

As revolutionaries and revolutionaries, we do not believe that disputes within racist state institutions or capitalism will change this reality. It is from the construction of a strong combative black people, in the daily struggle in different sectors, such as students, unions, rural areas, the quebradas and quilombos, that we can build and offer a real alternative for social transformation that destroys racism and also fights state and capitalist domination!

Fueled by the examples of Zumbi and Dandara de Palmares and by the black resistance in these five centuries in the Latin American continent, we CAB anarchists continue to strengthen the struggle for the base in the construction of a strong black people, in the construction of Popular Power and Libertarian Socialism!

LONG LIVE DANDARA AND ZOMBIE!
