From Alternative Bristol (UK)

As the ongoing battle to stop climate chaos gets local – via the long-running campaign to stop the expansion of Bristol Airport – the group BAAN (Bristol Airport Action Network) launches a few days of online teach-ins to help people to object to the expansion. The original expansion was rejected by North Somerset Council, however the airport then objected. The expansion plans are now at the appeal stage.

Do you want to write a knock out objection but not sure how to proceed? BAAN is hosting a series of short (20 min) teach-in sessions to give you the key arguments you need to object. We’ll walk you through the objection process too!

Sessions are scheduled for:
Monday 1st February at 19.00
Tuesday 2nd February at 13.00
Wednesday 3rd February at 12.30
Thursday 4th February at 19.00
Friday 5th February at 13.00

A failed appeal to this application would be a huge boost to all campaigns nationally, indeed internationally, against new infrastructure that is adding carbon into the atmosphere.

We need to stop projects like Bristol Airport’s expansion for all our futures.
