Hello labour film lovers! Everyone here at the Canadian Labour International Film Festival hopes that you and yours are doing well and looking forward to CLiFF 2021.

This year, as the pandemic enters a fourth wave, we will again be distributing films using an online streaming platform. As CLiFF events are scheduled they will appear on our Eventive page. Festival attendees will enjoy the comforts of their own homes while attending this year’s screening events!

You can be a big part of this year’s CLiFF community. As we do every year, we’re looking for people in communities across the country to act as Location Co-ordinators. Many of you have been Location Co-ordinators before; you know the drill.

For those who haven’t had the pleasure:

Location Co-ordinators pick a date (any time in November) that they think will work for people in their communities.

Then they pick a selection of films (we make it easy by putting together packages for you but you can also choose a custom selection for your event if you wish).

Finally, you get the word out (we can help) to the union members and others in your area who might be interested in attending CLiFF.

We’ve attempted to make the process as simple as possible for Location Co-ordinators. Once you’ve selected the date, time, location, and film package, we do all the work of setting up the back end. Then you circulate your individual event link to your members, friends and contacts so they can register online for their FREE event ticket. Email reminders to ticket holders are automatically generated and the films will be available at the time you designated for the start of your event.

There are also several ways you can personalize your event, including providing a pre-recorded intro. We’ve created a guide (available on our website) that outlines the different options.

Please let us know if you have any questions about hosting a screening. We’re looking forward to hearing from you soon!

In solidarity,

CLiFF Board
