From Prison Abolition

Smash IPP are calling for solidarity with Ben Gayton, an IPP prisoner who has served 8 years on a 17 month tarrif and recently got a parole knock-back, despite everyone recommending his release. You can find out more about his case here.

Smash IPP and Ben’s partner Hannah are asking people to write to the parole board, the prison governer and his probation to demand he have another parole hearing as soon as possible. Addresses to write to and a template letter are also in the action alert here.

A march and demonstration to HMP Lancaster Farms will be held on Sunday 24th February.

Meet 12.30 at Lancaster castle

Set off at 1pm for a leisurely march up to HMP Lancaster Farms.

For those who would prefer – meet at the prison at 2 for a demo until about 4pm (feel free to arrive any time between 2 and 4).

Please join us in calling for freedom for Ben, and all IPPs.
