This sedition of Subversion #1312 features an interview with Mutual Aid Disaster Relief member Jimmy Dunson.

So-called Australia is feeling the brute force of climate change. When I conducted this interview fires were and had been destroying large parts of the country, now there’s been huge destruction caused by floods.

Brisbane where I live and Australia in general does not have an organisation like Mutual Aid Disaster Relief but we really need one. That’s why I did this interview.

We also discuss the struggle of the Wet’suwet’en nation in so-called Canada. Early February saw police enter Wet’suwet’en blockades and arrest land defenders.

Since then there have been solidarity actions around Canada with most of the rail network halted by protesters. And occupations and demonstrations in universities and parliaments.

We held a film night at Shadowplay House in Brisbane to raise awareness about the issue.
