Anzac Day is drawing nearer and while it has been weaponised by the state to legitimise militarism and violence on an obscene scale, we are taking an opportunity to come together against these corrupt forces and discuss our collective goals of societal transformation. We want a world were people are safe, happy and free from coercive power dynamics which allow abhorrent violence.

As the climate crisis escalates alongside increasing militarisation, continued colonisation, escalating racism and ecological destruction we feel that it is a crucial time to come together in solidarity and begin to build a future which nourishes the people and the whenua.

Some of the confirmed speakers/workshop hosts include:
Pacific Panther Network, Te Ao Pritchard, Pacific Climate Warriors – Wellington, Nadia Abu-Shanab Nzei, Gayaal Iddamalgoda – Migrant and Refugee Rights Campaign, and researcher Byron Clark.

We are looking forward to seeing you there.
Peace Action Wellington.
