RMT strike action solid again today as Abellio Scotrail stand accused of playing fast and loose with safety in conductors and examiners dispute‎s.

RAIL UNION RMT said today’s conductors and examiners strike action remains rock solid again this morning as Abellio stand accused of playing fast and loose with safety on their trains rather than meeting with the union to settle the long running disputes over equality and justice in respect of enhanced payments for rest day working.

RMT has revealed that Abellio are using volunteers as scab labour to act as a second person on trains who are unqualified and do not have the knowledge, experience and safety competencies required of the job.

The union says that collecting revenue is the driving force behind this reckless decision during a pandemic where public safety and confidence should be the overriding priority.
