After the national inter-professional demonstration organised by the TUC in London on 18 June, RMT railway workers extended the direct industrial action with three days of strike action : 21, 23 and 25 June.

With RMT, the strikers are fighting for more jobs, for higher wages, for the improvement of working conditions, against the questioning of pension rights, against the closure of ticket offices and stations. For years, shareholders have been pocketing dividends, railway workers and users are footing the bill !

The struggle started by our comrades in RMT concerns all the workers of this country. Beyond that, it is part of and reinforces the struggles waged by railway workers in other countries.

Member organisations of the International Trade Union Network of Solidarity and Struggles, and the Rail Without Borders Network, support RMT’s call for strike action and the strikers ; we make this movement known in our different countries. International solidarity of workers !
